Kris WE can vote for Sec 49-O. That is we go for voting on the election day get our presence marked but do not vote for any body. These 49-O votes have to be counted and if they are more than the winning candidates vote all the candidates in the fray get disqualified. These disqualified candidates cannot even stand in the repolling.

I feel we need to see the positives out of this rally. Atleast after so many blasts, riots we the avg Indian came out of our slumber to protest. I am sure this fire will be kept burning.

For me, being here in another place so far away from all of this, I feel a little detached but the city coming together... I think it does mean something. Maybe only to me.. But I believe.

Kris what we saw yesterday was a show of strength. Already various groups have formed and are discussing possible solutions to what we can do. I dont know if this will work, but i know that apathy on our part hasnt worked

i don't want to sound like a damp squib, but this is not gonna change anything. we are all pissed with terrorists, so we come out in huge numbers. what next? even if we vote, who will we vote for? we've tried our luck with all the possible governments and all of them have been found wanting. for all the rhetoric and public blaming, the only thing we've got is more baggage scanning/frisking. and this is gonna die down in a few weeks. as you mentioned, cops are being stretched to the brink of human endurance - this is not a sustainable situation, and i know for a fact that this will not be sustained.

this is not the sort of action that's going to take us anywhere. we need to think more about what solutions we propose, and no one in the public seems to be doing that. not even bloggers.
